In 2024, FinAbility was selected for the second consecutive year to join Willamette Weekly’s Give Guide Campaign, a collective crowdfunding campaign highlighting an array of Portland nonprofit and philanthropic organizations during the holiday season. Alongside FinAbility, over 250 local nonprofits and businesses joined the campaign to raise funds together.
As we reflect on the campaign, we would like to take this moment to celebrate the incredible generosity of our community, who helped us exceed our fundraising goals with an amazing $12,834 raised. Thanks to our 93 donors (most of whom were first time donors to FinAbility), we were able to reach 107% of our fundraising goal. We would also like to include a special shout out to our nonprofit partners at Xcelerate and Open Signal, who led impressive campaigns of their own.
Not only did Xcelerate exceed their initial goal of $10,000 raised, but they also exceeded their new stretch goal of $13,000, an impressive feat for their first year in the campaign.
We would also like to extend our gratitude to our generous sponsors at Seeking Space Yoga and Yu|Mono for supporting our fundraising efforts and for their unwavering commitment to empowering survivors of domestic abuse. We are so honoured to partner with such incredible BIPOC women-owned businesses.
